Newest Sizes

These are new 9in.X12in. sizes available.

Psalm 23:1

How cute would these be in a nursery?!?

Any COLOR, Any RIBBON.

The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Cade

This canvas was ordered to look like "Jackson." I'm not big on making each one look exactly alike, so I changed it up a bit. The Paws on the side are my fave of the canvas. I know this Mom doesn't read this blog, so I posted it early even though she won't open it up until Christmas! I also know that this family is big Tiger fans, so I can't wait to hear about her excitement.

**To Cade's Mom: When you open this and hang it up, please, Please, PLEASE take a few pictures & send it to me. Okay? Okay. Thanks!!**

Christmas brings me Joy

This time of the year is my favorite time of the year! I'm so excited to post one of my favorite stories of all times - the birth of the Savior of my Life.

Once you've gotten a chance to see my new Christmas Blocks scroll to the bottom and read the passage. It makes the season all the more special. Enjoy!
{You can email me for ordering information. Click the link on the side bar}

Luke 2:1-20
Christ Born of Mary

1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.
2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.
3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.
4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,[a] who was with child.
6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “ Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[d] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Long Lost Card

I thought I'd lost shots that I'd taken back in the spring of 2 wall tiles I'd painted as gifts along with my Nephew's 1st Communion.

However, as I was looking under and around and EVERYWHERE around my computer desk for a lost credit card, I found a compact flash card for my camera that had been lost since APRIL!!

Yes, I said April.

Anywhoo, I found the camera card, but not the credit card.

And here are the wall tiles I'd painted back then:

Hayes

Jackson

I L.O.V.E. this name, Jackson! If we were having a 2nd boy, we would have used the name Jackson. It's such a good, solid name for a boy.
This is the 1st time I've painted this name & I like it - a lot.

Canvas Examples

Who wants something customized to go in their child's room? I know I do. I've had so much fun graduating from the wall tiles into the canvases. I feel like I'm in the big league when I get to paint something on a blank canvas! The canvases are also fun because of the depth of the stretcher frame, I'm able to have fun on the outside edges, too. I love creating something to go in a little girl or little boy's room that is like no one else has!
Here are a few examples of the sizes:

10X20

12X24

16x20

5X7

Trick or Treat

I'm inspired by lots of the ladies in my family who decorate for each and E.V.E.R.Y. holiday.

Halloween is no exception.

Why not paint these cutie patootie 4x4 block canvases that can decorate just about any room in the house?

I decided to try it. I'm pretty proud of them!!

You can:
Lay 'em down,

Stack 'em on top of one another,

Stand 'em up on the counter.

Just don't leave 'em by themselves.
{They don't make sense alone. *wink, wink*}

Kid's Wall Tiles

A few years ago, I went to Market in New Orleans. I had just found out I was pregnant for our "2nd" baby. At the time, we didn't know it was a girl, much less there was a 2nd girl in there. Anyway, I passes a booth of "wall tiles" that were painted to match kids rooms. They were the CUTEST thing I had seen!!! And, as usual, I said, "I can do that!" It beat buying someone elses work when I could customize to the girls room's colors. So, I did one for Isabella
& one for Sophia:
Then I did a few for birthday gifts.

Then one of my biggest fans {Sista, Sista-In-Law} ordered a couple for her own birthday gifts.

She came back all excited!
The feedback and information from the other Moms at the birthday parties was so positive and encouraging.
So now, it's official:
I am taking orders.
Orders for Boys Rooms.
Orders for Girls Rooms.
Custom colors.
Custom designs.
Custom Ribbons and Cords.
{for hanging}
Now all you have to do is contact me.
Email ANYTIME:
Look forward to hearing from you!
More Pictures TOMORROW
{This time I'll show the canvases you can order}

Necessities

They say that Necessity is the Mother of Invention. Who are they, you ask? Well, Mother's of course. We stay at home Mommas have a HUGE necessity for money. Money buys diapers, fills the car with gas, pays the bills, puts Chicken McNuggets in the bellies...you get my drift.

Anywhoo, money being the necessity that it is, I got to thinking. I thought about how hard last year was when Chris & I were at a very large fork in the road. I thought about how hard it was for us to trust God and take the plunge into the world of Single-Salary'hood {Truly, I know that's not a word}. We wanted to make the right decision. But it's one that's so big, you second guess yourself no matter how much you know what to do, you know?

So, a few months into "Staying Home with The Kids" we started seeing a dip in the budget. I think it had to do with me having so much time on my hands - I'd get out with the kids and go to the mall or to the grocery store - of course, you can't leave the mall without a cookie, an ICEE and coffee.....Or, it could have been Chris mismanaging the checkbook. I'd put my money {no pun intended} on the latter! **wink, wink**

About the time I realized I needed to create a magic potion that would invent my spending money, my Mother-In-Law gave me her sewing machine.

That was a little push that I needed to get in gear with a plan. These were a few of my first projects. That original blog explains a lot. Last year, I received quite a few gifts when the girls were born. Several of them were sets of cute burp cloths in coordinating fabrics and I thought, "I can do this!" And having my new sewing machine was the tool I needed to get started.

So I started with fabric,
added a few groovy embellishments and my first product turned like this.
Then I got brave with the embroidering part of the machine and accomplished this.
I'm pretty proud of what I've learned & begun to create. So much so that I have decided to branch out & see if this could turn into a Customized Accessories shop.
This weekend I have a booth in a small trade show and I'm debuting my new venture:
